Robot race 2016

Recently at the National University of "Lviv Polytechnic" with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian competition on mobile robotics took place. Competitions were devoted to the 200th anniversary of the Lviv Polytechnic.

The teams that participated in the competition presented their own designs of robots, which are completely autonomous technical creatures, which are guided solely by their own artificial intelligence. Any external remote control of a person is forbidden. These works perceive the environment through various devices - sensors, video cameras, etc. - and independently analyze it. Specialized microprocessors work out this information, issue commands to the steering wheel and running motors, how quickly to drive, when and at what angle to turn. Competitions took place on the principle of usual auto racing: who first will overcome the set number of circles - and won.
